MISSISSIPPI
DRIVER EDUCATION

Driver Ed in a Box will satisfy all of your teenager’s driver education needs and at the same time teach them to become a safe, collision-free driver.  In Mississippi, you do not need to take any other driver education course (either through the school system or from a commercial school).

The first 6 hours of the classroom included in our course, combined with the Mississippi Driver Manual, will give your teen all the information they need to pass the testing requirements and receive their learner permit at age 15.

The Driver Ed in a Box program gives you the tools to master the skills of each section of driving (we break it down to Parking Lot, Neighborhood, Two Lane and Four Lane Light Traffic, Freeway, Rural and Heavy Traffic).  With our checklist and audio CDs, it allows the student to master the skills required in each area at their own pace before moving on to the next section.  All of this is completed during the state required permit time.  Once you have had your permit a minimum of 6 months and are at least 15 ½ Mississippi state requirements), you can go to the local driver license examiner and take your road test.

Parents using Driver Ed in a Box® to work directly with their teen and supervise their progress ensures the safest teen drivers on the road.

Parent/student comments:

"It was so much more thorough than the class I had when I was in school. I think he's much more prepared for driving in the ‘real world’!" - Parent, Crystal Spring, Mississippi

"This program is very good in explaining the steps for each maneuver. It gradually builds from the beginner's lessons up to the skilled, and gives some situations that one might meet up with in their driving. I enjoyed the Driver Ed in a Box® curriculum." - Julia Shore, Mobile, Alabama

"The most important thing I learned from this course is to preserve my space. Before taking the course I followed other cars too closely and, while I did check my mirrors fairly often, I did not make sure that I slowed early when I was being tailgated. Before taking this course, I, like most drivers, would ride with the pack, despite the fact that doing so gains so little. Because my driving habits are now much better, I feel much more comfortable while driving." - J.T.V., LaGrange, Georgia
